From Mom’s (Sharon Hollifield) album, Gospel Originals, comes this week’s song of hope and faith – He Will Always Be There.
Often in these troubled times we feel we are facing it all on our own. There was only one time when God closed His eyes and turned His back – when His Son, Jesus, was hanging on the cross taking on the sins of the world.
We can lie down at night and sleep peacefully, because He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of peace, love and a sound mind.
If you stop and listen you can hear His calm, reassuring voice, “Lo, I am with you alway, even to the end of the world.”
I thought this song, which I wrote over a decade ago, would be appropriate.
The music was recorded at the studio of the late Woody Power in Farmersburg, IN with The Crystal Valley Quartet. I am singing lead and playing the piano.
I shot the video during the summer of 2015 while in the Desert aka Laughlin, Nevada during a monsoon while sitting on the patio. The other photos I took at random times.
Hope you are blessed and enjoy.
Since the beginning, fathers have been responsible to God for the spiritual well-being of the family. In recent times, too many fathers have resigned from that responsibility and brushed it off on mothers.
But it is the father who should be the rock of ages and anchor to the Creator.
Today’s Sunday Gospel simply asks, “How Long Has It Been?“
