Changing, Always Changing

Nothing in the world remains constant. At least nothing remains constant that doesn't end up stagnating and dying. Without change or adaptation or growth, the eventual result is the cessation of life. So it is in all things including here in the Den - changing, always changing.
It was announced earlier this week that as of May 18, 2010, one of our cellular providers, Page Plus, will be raising the rate on the Unlimited Talk and Text plan from $39.95 per month to $44.95 per month. This will be a $5 across the board rate hike affecting all subscribers of Ivy Cellular to the PP T&T plan. The rate for the 1200 T&T plan will remain the same.
Although this change is going into effect, Ivy Cellular will still continue to offer a $40 per month unlimited talk and text plan. This plan is offered through Simple Mobile. There is no data included. There is 50 MB of data available for an additional $10 or 150 MB of data for $20 more.
The subscribers talked with so far have stated that the $5 rate hike will not be an issue. This is still one of the best deals around and does still include 20 MB of data.
Ivy Cellular is able to once again activate Palm and HTC handsets on the Page Plus network. There may another handset announcement in the next week. Simple Mobile also allows for BYOD (bring your own device) as does Page Plus. A complete listing of allowed handsets is posted at Ivy Cellular for Simple Mobile.
The difference between Ivy Cellular's two providers is the network utilized. The nation's largest network running on CDMA (no SIM card) technology is what sets Page Plus apart. Simple Mobile runs on GSM (SIM card) technology and uses the 3G and native T-Mobile network.
Yes, changing, always changing...but this continues to provide new blood, invigorating and prolonging life.
