Ivy Cellular Coming
By mark on Aug 31, 2009 | In On the web
I am happy to announce that Ivy Web Services will soon be rolling out a brand new service. Some time later this week, Ivy Cellular will be available to people throughout the US of A. Of course the focus will continue to be here in the cornfield, but this wireless phone service should be a real hit.
No, I am not getting into the phone sales business. This will be providing wireless access. Any CDMA phone will be able to be used with the Ivy Cellular network. CDMA (code division multiple access) is a mobile digital radio technology where channels are defined with codes (PN codes). See the site for more details by clicking here.
I am really excited by the new offering. When you add Ivy Cellular to our already impressive family of services, this should be icing on the cake as the saying goes.
Here are the links for all the services from the Den and available throughout the cornfield:
Ivy ISP
Ivy Broadband
Ivy Web Host
Ivy Site Design
Ivy Cellular
This should be a boon as September and the fall begins. Look for it this week. Ivy Cellular is coming!
Rainy 3rd of June
By mark on Jun 3, 2009 | In On the web
Oops! Seems "tomorrow" which was actually yesterday came and went and I was remiss in adding my thoughts and comments from where I sit in the Den. I'll blame it on the gentle rain falling outside. OK...you got me, the rain didn't begin until late yesterday afternoon. I just didn't think about putting fingers to keyboard and pecking away.
Cooler weather, but still in the 70s is expected for today and the next couple. Drops of moisture will accompany the drop in the mercury. But...just wait, near 90 degree weather is in store for the weekend.
Today is pay day. Er...guess I should say it's pay out day!

For those who may not have noticed, I have added a new smaller web hosting package to Ivy Web Host. The new package is 500 megabytes of space for only $1.95 per month! Check it out!
For those wishing to save on both their internet access and telephone bill, you can't beat the Ivy ISP Double Play©. With plans to meet all budgets, Ivy ISP provides high speed DSL internet access coupled with VoIP digital phone with unlimited nationwide calling.
My cyclical bout of cranial searing agony continues. I'll be glad when my cluster headaches ease even slightly. My eyes are heavy this morning making typing difficult. Fortunately I learned back in the Stone Age how use the keyboard properly and not the hunt-and-peck method.
From the Den and a wet cornfield, I bid you adieu for today.
Day Two
By mark on May 13, 2009 | In Welcome, News, In real life, On the web
It is now Day Two of the change in server providers. So far, so good. Still trying to get a hang of things. When you are use to doing things one way and then you are having to change in mid-stream, it is not always easy, especially for an old horse like me!
Haven't heard in feedback about the changes from anyone yet. But you know what they say, "no news is good news".
The back end of the new blog is causing growing pains. I like it...but it's so different than before. It is still from b2evolution, but an updated version. Definitely having to feel my way around in the crevices of the backroom.
All of my sites, as well as all of my clients sites, have now been transferred to the new nameservers. I have Ivy Web Host up and running. Added a new package as well for the more budget-minded or for someone just wanting a personal website, Ivy500 Budget. Hard to beat its $1.95 per month rate for 500 megabytes of space.
My hosting company site isn't 100% automated, but pretty close to it. With luck, I'll soon figure out what I am doing wrong in uploading and activating the instant activation manager.
Supper is cooked. I need to eat soon. Iohn's at work. Frankie's keeping an eye out the window for cats, neighbors and a look toward the sky. Thunderstorms are whipping through the cornfield today. We've been told to expect a very stormy night.
